Ryan Charles (Director/Editor) GRADUATED FROM THE HARTT SCHOOL OF THEATER IN 2007 WITH A BFA IN ACTING. HAVING TURNED TO FILMMAKING Full-time HIS JUNIOR YEAR OF COLLEGE HIS FIRST FILM, AMERICAN STANDARD, WAS AN OFFICIAL SELECTION AT THE 2007 STUDENT FILMS ACROSS AMERICA FILM FESTIVAL AND ALSO PLAYED IN NYC AT THE NEW FILMMAKERS FORUM. IN THE SUMMER OF 2008, ALONG WITH HIS COUSIN FRANK LICATA, HE FOUNDED NITTY GRITTY STUDIOS IN NYC WHERE THEY PRODUCED, IN CONJUNCTION WITH NYEH ENTERTAINMENT AND SID & NANCY PRODUCTIONS, the web series BAD APPLES – RECENTLY PICKED UP BY CLICKVISION TV. In addition ryan has directed and/or edited various spec commercials for the likes of Netflix and Coors light as well as promotional videos for half a dozen musicians, bands, and cabaret artists alike. ryan is also an accomplished theater artist having performed in nearly twenty shows, worked backstage and/or in front of house for close to forty shows and directed a pair of plays over the course of the last ten years. He currently resides in brooklyn.
